Rev. Thomas Goldsmith was born on February 27, 1823 in Hollowell, Prince Edward Co., the son of David Goldsmith and died April 14, 1902 in Toronto.
New Connexion Methodist began preaching in 1843 and became known as the “boy preacher”.
In 1851 he was at Main Street in Hamilton. He later accepted the creed of the Presbyterian Church.
In 1865 he was offered a position as agent for the Upper Canada Bible Society, and remained there for five years.
He retired in 1889 and lived out the rest of his life in Toronto.
He was received on trial in 1843 at Cobourg/Hillier,
